This one is extra special for me. When I first walked into CrossFit Inland Valley and started to do this crazy and awesome thing called CrossFit, I met Jamie. This quiet but amazing beast that will give her everything on every WOD... She became my inspiration. I saw her working out and I wanted to be just like her, do what she does. Then I met Jamie, the mom of 3 beautiful kids, and Mike's wife, this person who has such an amazing heart. Everyone else comes first. 

 

Jamie, you still an inspiration, for many of us. We are all so proud of you, to see where you are today and for everything that you do. Keep up the great work, keep grinding... You will go far!!!

Depends who you ask haha. Mike-babe, Kids-mom Kristy Amy and des-j, Steve -the intimidator. Haha

 

How long have you been “CrossFitting”? 3 years!!

 

What’s your occupation, other than being a full time “Super Mom” to 3 beautiful kids?

I am a part time cosmetologist who works at a barbershop. 

 

What are your hobbies?

Crossfit, eating, doing fun kids bdays, cake decorating, taking care of my "farm" and DANCING!!

 

Words to live by or favorite quote:

"All things happen for the good to those who love the Lord and are called according to his purposes" "I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me" I recite that a lot in my head when I doubt what I can lift. Some days he humbles me though. But again, "all things..."

 

What’s your fitness background?

None!! 

 

Tell us something we don’t know about you:

I was on the show wipeout and made it to the 3rd round, I love all things 50s and have another mans name tattooed on me (not my husbands) 

 

What’s your favorite WOD?

I really don't know. I can't even remember the wod we did yesterday! Anything that I see and think "there's no way I'm gonna finish" but I do 

 

What’s your LEAST favorite WOD?

Anything with thrusters!

 

What’s your favorite lift?

Overhead squat 

 

What are your future training goals?

To get stronger and more well rounded with no injuries. 

 

What kind of music gets you pumped to crush a WOD?

Dark wave 80s! Depeche mode!!!

 

What would you say to people intimidated by the word CrossFit?

Try it!!!! There are modifications for EVERYTHING. we've all modified, someone is in every class. You're not alone. What do you have to lose, sweat??

I absolutely LOVE the family that is here now. So encouraging. No one is made to feel left out or less than. Love it!!
