A Family that works out together, stay together. The Smith Family have been putting in the time and effort into this! I'm not just very proud of them, but also very happy to have them as part of our CFIV Family!

Terry & Sheryl:

 

1. Do you have a nickname? 

None we can repeat. 😊

 

2. Tell us a little about yourself: 

Occupation, Hoobies, Family…  I am an owner of an Aerospace Tooling Company in Orange County. We like hiking and spending time with our kids and grandkids.

 

3. When did you start “CrossFitting”?

January 2017

 

4. Did you play any sports or did you workout before you started CrossFit? 

We were working out at LA Fitness. Part time for me. Sheryl was a 7 day a weeker at LA Fitness

 

5. Why CrossFit Inland Valley? 

Emily saw the add on Groupon and told us about it and we wanted to try something different than the cookie cutter gym.

 

6. What makes you keep coming back? 

We love the family atmosphere as well as being pushed hard every workout. We also like the fact that the trainers want you to do each movement with the correct form, regardless of the weight.

 

7. What’s your favorite WOD or movement?

Still trying to figuring out a favorite…haha.

 

8. What’s your least favorite WOD or movement?

Burpees and overhead squats for me. Box jumps for Sheryl.

 

9. What’s your most recent PR and what’s your main goal?

Stay fit to enjoy life to the fullest.

 

10. What do you have to say to someone thinking about trying CrossFit for the first time? 

Go for it!! It’s a challenging workout, but everyone there supports you 100%.

 

11. What’s your favorite kind of music for a workout? 

Loud and Fast!

 

12. Would you like to add anything else? 

We are thankful to all the owners, trainers and staff. Everyone has been supportive and has really helped us grow each week. We can feel the growth every time we work out.

I am the Engineering Manager / Business Development for an Aerospace company in Anaheim. My hobbies are my family!

 

3. When did you start “CrossFitting”?

February 2017

 

4. Did you play any sports or did you workout before you started CrossFit? 

Played high school Football and Basketball and did powerlifting the last few years

 

5. Why CrossFit Inland Valley? 

We were looking for a place local with a place for kids and CFIV popped up.

 

6. What makes you keep coming back? 

The fact the work outs are always challenging

 

7. What’s your favorite WOD or movement?

Anything that has to do with deadlifting

 

8. What’s your least favorite WOD or movement?

Running :)

 

9. What’s your most recent PR and what’s your main goal?

Probably being able to do the 24in box. My goal is functional training so I can be more active with my Boys!

 

10. What do you have to say to someone thinking about trying CrossFit for the first time?
