In this triplet workout, athletes will choose a weight for the kettlebell farmers carry that they could complete 200+ meters unbroken when fresh. Within the workout, 1 break is allowed per round. Burpees are traditional burpees, requiring chest contact on the floor, full extension, and a clap overhead. If short on rowers, stagger by 2 minutes.
## THE WHY:
The closest spot to the door is a popular place to be during workouts that alternate between work inside the gym and work outside the gym. It is the shortest distance from point A to point B. However, we don’t want position in the room to be an advantage or disadvantage within a workout. For example, if an athlete performs the benchmark workout “Helen” on two separate occasions and they ran a different distance on each attempt, their results will be inaccurate. One way to combat this is to place a cone, typically in the back of the room, that all athletes must loop around either before exiting the building or upon entering. This essentially creates a “track” that athletes follow on running or farmers carry workouts and ensures that every athlete in the room travels the same distance today and if the workout comes up again.
